A Bowl of Cherries.



I'm in a broiling phase right now- there's so much fresh stuff to eat over the summer and I'm always tinkering with new ways to eat produce, especially from the garden.  Broiled cucumbers, tomatoes, fruits, etc.

I splurged on some cherries last weekend and came up with this:

Halve a few cups of cherries.

Combine a tablespoon of sugar (I use stevia) with a skip of vanilla and a hop of almond extract (the sugar should have the texture of wet sand.)

Toss them together, place on non-stick foil, and broil for about 7 minutes.  (Fold up the edges of the foil to catch escaping juices.)

Have mercy.
