For those of you who don't know, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer last fall, and passed away very early yesterday morning.
A visitation has been set for 5 pm tomorrow, Monday, July 4, at Kober Funeral Home, with a 6 pm prayer service, all of which is open to the public. A private family mass will be held on Tuesday at St. Joe's in Elk Point. We won't be able to publish this in the paper until after the fact due to the long weekend, so if you know of anyone who needs that information, please pass it on.
I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has sent emails, messages, and texts this weekend. I can't possibly get back to you all- but thank you, and no, I don't think we really need anything right now- just busy at home today sorting through four large boxes of photographs from my parent's house, hoping to have things sorted to give to my family since everyone is here this weekend, and prepare some things for the services.
We will still be catching the fireworks, as July 4th would have been my mom's 65th birthday, and so the Fourth of July was always a big holiday for us.
Thanks again everyone, from the Swansons, the Knudsens, and the Kochs.
