And we think it's important he play with more than princess dress up clothes and Barbies.
Not 10 minutes after Hudson tore into his tool set, Jim said, "Now he just needs a work bench."
And I could see that little glimmer in his eye. No doubt that boy would get a work bench, and what did Jim start working on first thing Christmas morning? That's right.
He went out into the garage, found some wood, brought his tools inside, and got to work. Right in the middle of the Living Room floor. In the time it took us to watch Elf, it was nearly done- which was fitting, because this kinda reminded me of when Buddy makes the rocking horse out of the TV cabinet.
And yes, Hudson used his tools to "help" Daddy out.
Jim signed the back.
And it's just one more reason it's OK to get snowed in for Christmas.

That is so cool! My son LOVES his tools and runs to get them whenever my husband is working on something.
Very cool!
That is SO sweet! I love the hand written note on the back. That's something you'll definitely have to keep always.
That's awesome!
Way cool! SJ got the same tool set for Christmas; he loves it!
