Ralph Lauren and GAP Shoes for Hudson, $3.00 each.
I know a lot of people that love thrift stores and garage sales. And a lot of people that never go because they don't think of it, they don't want to, or they're just repulsed by it. This means that, by the way, 78% of what's in my house and 90% of the clothing on my children's backs is repulsive to them. That's nice. But I bet most of you out there have got The Look. You know just what I mean.
Bookshelf for New School Spot, $7.00
2 brand new pairs of PLACE for Grace, $4 each- steep pricing for a thrift store, and still a steal.
You've got to know what you want, what you need, what you're lookin' for. You've got to know when to hold em', fold em', when to walk away, when to run.
Grace needed to move up a size, and I found these Sketchers that are practically new, they light up which of course she loves, and were nearly spotless inside, just a few scuffs outside. After washing and a magic eraser, all these shoes were lookin' spankin' new. I just didn't take the time to photograph them...
Once you get the hang of it, it's like shooting up bargain crack. All the ladies out there that know just what I mean say hey.

Hey!!
I love it. LOVE it. I am excited for this summer... my hometown has great yard sales and thrift stores. Plus, I have great friends there to shop with.
Awesome finds!

I love a good bargain! I have found some doozy's over the years.
Love those sketcher shoes! betcha she does too!
You also have to have time and kid free time. Those are the hardest things for me.
What great finds! I grew up going to thrift stores. My entire high school wardrobe was from an awesome thrift store that had super cheap vintage clothing. I miss those days, because the thrift stores here have really gone up in their prices. I love the bookshelf you found.
Fantastic bookshelf! I am becoming more and more addicted to thrifting. We went yard-saling this weekend and I came back with a trunkful of fantastic things, having spent only like $40. So happy.
HEEEYYYY...HHHHHOOOOOO....HHHHEEEEEYYYY....HOOOOOO
SO...
I can admit it, I'm SO not good at this.
I used to be, but we had AWESOME thrift stores back in Madison...the thrift stores here STINK...I mean seriously are SO bad.
The thing I have found though is that I am really good at finding steals at Old Navy, Gap, Target... because I NEVER pay full price for anything, I just wait until it goes on sale.
I DO however like neighborhood garage sales...those are fun! My hometown has a citywide garage sale day in August...that was always fun!
I wish we had a couple good thrift stores around here. One is really overpriced, I think for a thrift store. The prices they charge are almost as much as buying the item on sale at a store. The other one pretty much never has anything in my little one's size.
I do wish I was better at this. So I'm still trying!! Love all you finds:)
