And I don't mean who brings home the bacon, or who fries it up...or whatever that means...I mean who writes the checks and balances that thing better than a seal with a ball on it's nose?
I am the bill payer at our place! Hubby takes care of all things long term, we budget together for EVERYTHING, and I pay everything monthly. It works.
(he also drags me to meetings with our financial planner. I try & pay attention but sadly enough end up in la-la land eventually......he loves EVERY SECOND of it. Seriously.)
He does and I LOVE it! He gives me the cold hard cash weekly to do whatever I want with (lunch, shopping, nothing, etc...). It's my don't ask don't tell money. If I want something more, all I have to do is mention it.
I love not worrying about the money. Sure, we discuss budgeting big things and goal oriented things (i.e. moving, new cars, etc...), but for the most part he just tells me how much I can spend and I do!

I do, and I admit I haven't done the best job. We have never not paid a bill, but I'm not exactly thriving in the savings department. I'm learning though...friends have helped out with budgeting. Justin is SUPER saver so he keeps me accoutable as well. :)
I do - everything except the mortgage. I'm a control freak and love to stretch his paychecks as far as they will go.
On another note - I wanted to ask you how the HECK you find time to paint with the kids around. I read that your husband doesn't want you to do it while he's home...so how do you find time during the day? P.S. - it looks great!
I do, always have. Until recently Justin didn't take a huge interest. But now we sit down once a week and go over everything. And I feel like for the first time in 5 years I have a system that REALLY works and it is so stress free. Before my stomach would get in knots every time I would have to get serious about going over the budget. Now, oh, it is just so much easy, PRAISE the LORD!
I pay the bills, balance the checkbook and come up with the monthly budget all by myself and I hate doing it. But, it's got to be done and he can't really work on our finances at his office so I do it during the day whenever I have a spare moment here or there.
I try to do everything online so it isn't too painful to actually pay the bills. The hard part for me is the budget.
My husband does. I did it for most of our 17 years of marriage, but after our little one came along 5 1/2 years ago...I had to let it go! It was hard. I had to deal with giving up the control, but it has been well worth it!
I actually write the checks and do onlince payments but together we sit down once a week and budget. We do the electronic envelope system and it has been working great.... also as a side note I tried you glass etching idea from many post's ago and I failed terribly at it I ruined it all I'm not dsure where I went wrong
I do it, and I can't stand it. I wish I were better at it. I guess I'm learning along the way, but my goal is to get a better program and install it on my computer to help me out regularly. It's so time-consuming sometimes, yikes. I sometimes wish my husband did it, but he is not the best at paying bills on time, which is why I took it over years ago.
My hubby, thankfully! He is in accounting, so it works perfectly. Has Quicken, etc...all I have to do is turn in my credit card receipts. Would be very scary if I was in charge!

I do. Sigh. Sometimes I'm good at it, sometimes I get flaky. It's difficult when paying bills and balancing the checkbook always brings bad news :-(

That would be my husband. And by the way, I got your WHO joke right away :)
I do:( It is pretty stressful doing it by myself. I've been trying to get him to do it with me for several years now.
