The English Major Decorates

I know, I know. You may think I'm a dork, but...

Nearly every day, there's a moment when I pass by this pillow, and think of this Robert Frost poem...

Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nature's first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf's a flower;

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.

Nothing gold can stay.*
*OK, now you know what I majored in. No, you may not begin to judge me on my grammar and punctuation skills, or, lack thereof. No doubt, if I were being graded on this blog's content, I'd rock the grammar and punctuation. I'd even diagram this stuff if you wanted me to. Believe me, I've got mad skills.

LOL Bad grammar, punctuation and spelling drive me nuts too! You must be creative as well, if a pillow makes you think of poem!

Warning: Totally random comment

And I love The Outsiders.

I remember in high school feeling so badly for this girl giving a book report on it, who kept pronouncing Socs (short for Socials) Socks.

But no one else seemed to even notice.

English majors are an elite. ;-)

Oh dear. I am terrible at grammar. I loved English - definitely my strong point. But grammar - it has all flown away. I abuse commas, I flippantly use semi-colons, and I compose run on sentences as if they are going out of style. Forgive me.
