My Worst Nightmare

For any of you who've been pregnant, or have a wife who has been, you might have experienced the phenomenon of the "weird pregnancy dreams"-- vivid, usually ridiculous dreams women sometimes experience as the due date approaches- you'll dream you give birth and it's a cat instead of a baby, etc, etc... while I escaped most of the discomforts of the third trimester, I didn't miss out on the crazy dreams. I'd dream all kinds of things, but there was one that stuck out as the most disturbing. I woke up with this terrified feeling that took about an hour to shake off so I could go back to sleep, which is hilarious, when you hear what it's about. Ridiculous as it sounds... I dreamed that Target got rid of it's $1 popcorn and soda combo. For any of you mothers out there who've used the combo as a reason to get out of the house in the name of making it an event to just go to Target to walk around, ending in your children all munching on much-anticipated popcorn and soda (more than enough for everyone, all for $1!), you'll understand. I couldn't help but laugh to myself during that hour I couldn't sleep, so shaken up over something so stupid. I was just at Target last night and, yes, the combo is still there.
